Hello everyone,

Do anybody know how to upgrade to Modelica Standard Library 3.0 in Dymola. I had an old version (2.2.1), whenever I open Dymola, the old standard library is loaded as default. How could I get rid of that and load the new standard library automatically whenever I start Dymola?

Thanks in advance!

IMHO itīs not possible to use MSL 3.0 with Dymola 6.x. Are you using Dymola 7??? In addition the new Dymola no longer supports GCC, you need the MS compiler.

Hi RungeZipperer,

I am still using Dymola 6.1, the sales person said that the final release of Dymola 7 was delayed, so I cant get it right now. By the way, now, I am using Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Express Edition as my compiler, but hardly do I detect the differences of using different compilers, do you have any ideas about this?

Thanks.

you can find a configuration file names dymodraw.ini in the Dymola\insert\ directory.

Find the section "# SETTING UP LIBRARY AND DEMO MENUS" "# Which version to use for Modelica." and modify them respectively.

But so far as i know, Modelica 3.0 is not supported by dymola 6.x.

Hello Liuliu,

Thanks, in that case, its better for me to wait for the Dymola 7.
