I found a paper regarding a flight dynamics library but could not find the library. The capabilities I am look for are below. Can anyone help?
Aerodynamics:
- Lift, drag, and moment for a body (e.g. fuselage) based on tables of aerodynamic coefficient vs. angle of incident flow (angle of attack and sideslip), Mach Number, and Reynolds Number
- Lift, drag, and moments for wings based on airfoil tables of aerodynamic coefficients vs. angle of attack, flap angle, Mach Number, and Reynolds Number. Airfoil and wing geometry may change along the span.
- Simple wake models for wings (e.g. horseshoe vortex)
- Interference effects between aerodynamic components (how wake of one surface affects flow at another)
- More complicated wake models like lifting lines and panel wakes
- Unsteady aerodynamic effects via effective mean camber line and unsteady modeling of the wake
Propulsion:
- Turboshaft, turbofan, and turbojet engines. Turbocharged internal combustion engine.
- A simple "actuator disc" propeller model. More accurate propeller models could be built from aerodynamic components described above if a rotor/propeller wake model is also supplied.
Atmosphere:
- Atmospheric properties (density, pressure, temperature, viscosity,
etc.) that vary with altitude
- Realistic wind gust fields
Ground:
- Concept of ground contact
- Non-flat ground
- Moving ground (e.g. ships)
